• South of England, also known as the South, is an
area of England consisting of its southernmost
part, with cultural, economic and political
differences from the Midlands and the North.
Officially, the area includes Greater London,
the South East, the South West, and the East

• Kent is a county in South East
England and one of the home
counties.

CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL
• Canterbury Cathedral is the main Anglican
church in Great Britain. The building was built in
603, made in the Gothic style, the founder is
Augustine of Canterbury, a missionary of Pope
Gregory the Great. Officially, the complex is
called the Cathedral and Metropolitan Church
of Christ in Canterbury, here is the department
of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

THE GARDEN OF ENGLAND
• The name of Kent "The Garden of England" came from a dish of Kent

museums, galleries and theaters.

• Bath is the largest city in Somerset, England, known for its hot springs.
• The hot springs were dedicated to the goddess Sulis, whom the Romans
identified with the goddess Minerva.
• In 2011, the population of the city was 88,859 people.
• Bath is located in the valley of the River Avon,
97 miles (156 km) west of London and 11 miles (18 km) southeast of Bristol.

STONEHENGE
• Stonehenge is a megalithic structure in
Wiltshire, England, which is a complex
of circular earthen chalk and stone
structures. It is located about 130 km
southwest of. London, about 3.2 km
west of. Amesbury and 13 km north of
Salisbury. It is one of the most famous
archaeological sites in the world.

• The main part of this structure is a 33-meter circle consisting of 30 huge
stones. Their height reaches 4.1 meters, and the weight of some of them is 25
tons. It is believed that the structure was built about 5000 years ago, in the
era of the New Stone Age.
