Denmark is one of those countries where
great attention is paid to health care and
pharmaceutical provision. The level of
medical care is quite high, and all citizens of

The main public body that regulates the circulation
of medicines in Denmark is the Danish Medicines
Agency. In turn, it is subordinate to the Ministry of
Health of Denmark and works in close cooperation
with it.

Drug supply
In Denmark, more than 10 thousand
pharmaceuticals are registered and
allowed for sale. The cost of
prescription drugs in all pharmacies of
the country is the same, but in general,
the prices for drugs are higher than the
average for the European Union. In
addition to the original drugs, there
are many generics on the Danish
pharmaceutical market - they make up
59% of prescription drugs.

действующим аптечным учреждениям Каждая аптека обслуживает в среднем
около 18 тысяч жителей, поэтому персонал аптек насчитывает до 20
сотрудников. Рецептурные препараты составляют до 80% аптечных продаж.
Доходы от продажи безрецептурных лекарств, а также различных пищевых
добавок составляют 20% общей дневной прибыли средней датской аптеки. Все
аптеки, кроме дежурных (работающих круглосуточно), с понедельника по
пятницу открыты с 9 до 17 часов, в субботу - до 13-14 часов.
Проблема лекарственного обеспечения в сельской местности решается с
помощью аптек-сателлитов (филиалов аптек) и аптечных киосков в магазинах,
которые разрешены только в сельской местности. Аптеки и аптечные пункты,
расположенные в малонаселённых районах, получают государственную
поддержку в виде дотаций и прогрессивного налогообложения. Аптеки,
расположенные в больших городах, значительно отличаются по размерам от
тех, которые находятся в сельской местности, особенно в малонаселенных
районах страны.

Access to medicines
Most prescription drugs sold in pharmacies are subject to reimbursement partial or full reimbursement of the cost of drugs to patients. The cost of
over-the-counter drugs is reimbursed only to pensioners and patients with
chronic diseases who are forced to take them constantly. Reimbursement is
not carried out for each drug separately, but depending on the total annual
costs of the patient for the purchase of drugs.

Circulation of medicines
Medicines enter the Danish market only after approval by the
European Commission or the Danish Medicines Agency. It is
forbidden to sell drugs to doctors and hospitals. It is forbidden to
release over-the-counter drugs to buyers under 15 years of age.
