Relevance of the raised problemThere is a great number of people who have some
problems and woes in their lives. Not everyone
can deal with problems, some of them break
down because they feel loneliness and unable to
solve their problems. Sometimes other people
really can’t help because they have never had
such sort of trouble and nothing comes to their
minds as suggestions of solution.
4.
The author’s solution to the problem1. Bibliotherapy
2. To get experience from the books
3. To join the community of readers
4. To read only fiction
5.
My vision of the problemI would agree with the 1st and the 2nd points.
They seem to be very useful.
I completely disagree with the 3rd point.
I don’t think this solution can suit everyone.
I partially agree with the 4th point.
It has both advantages and disadvantages.

Questions for the listenersHow can you comment the statement: “A book may be
of the nature of a soothing syrup or it may be of the
nature of a mustard plaster”?
Do you agree that “people who read a lot of
fiction tend to be better at empathizing with
others”?
Have you ever experienced that the same
book at different periods of your life made a
completely different impression on you?
