2. Requirements for the coach
An important factor influencing the effectiveness of a coach's pedagogical activity is hispersonal qualities. The very specificity of pedagogical work imposes a number of
requirements on the personality of the coach, which are defined as professionally
significant qualities.
The requirements imposed on the activity of the coach determine the presence of the
qualities of the perceptual sphere (determining the accuracy of perception, movements
of the athlete, the speed of perception and assessment of the situation), the psychomotor
sphere (affecting the accuracy of technical techniques when they are shown).
Intellectual qualities help the coach to find the right solutions in educational work,
determine the effectiveness of the coach's creativity, his search for new ways in teaching
and upbringing. These qualities include: clarity and logic of thinking, its criticality,
imagination, ingenuity, wit, efficiency of thinking, characterizing the ability of a coach to
quickly find optimal solutions to emerging problems.
3. Requirements for the coach
Moral qualities are reflected in behavior, in morals, Morality, or morality, is a form of socialconsciousness that performs the function of regulating human behavior. The coach must
have a whole complex of moral qualities - humanism, politeness, honesty, exactingness,

the coach to establish contact with students in the process of communication and

successful activity of a coach. These include endurance, perseverance, patience,
determination, courage.
4. Requirements for an athlete
In general, personal characteristics, as well as typological ones, should be taken intoaccount in the individualization of sports activity management. The role of the factor of
personal characteristics in the success of sports activities is also considered when
discussing the problem of reliability of an athlete.
According to American sports psychologists, the most common personality traits of
athletes include: a high level of aggressiveness (which is almost always under the control
of a high-class athlete), a high level of achievement motivation, extroversion and firmness
of character, authoritarianism, emotional stability and self-control.
5. Requirements for an athlete
According to the classification proposed by the Bulgarian psychologist F. Gene, qualitiessuch as determination, discipline and confidence are common to all sports and, as it
were, unifying and cementing the other qualities. This is explained by the pronounced
moral side of such qualities as purposefulness and discipline; confidence in their actions
and capabilities should be a permanent component of the athlete's will, without it, sports
activities cannot be effective.
