Terms.
The global problems of our time— are
problems, that concern the vital interests of
all people on the planet and cover many
Ecological problems of the earth – are
areas. They can be solved only by joint
crisis ecological situations relevant for the
efforts, if all countries unite for this. Let`s
whole planet, and their solution is possible
only with the participation of humanity. It
should be noted, that any environmental
problems of the earth are closely related to
other global world problems, they affect each
other and the emergence of some leads to the
emergence or aggravation of others.
figure out which problems are global.

3.

3 types of global problems
Intersocial
problems
Problems in the
«man-nature»
relationship
Problems in the
«man-society»
relationship
The problem of war and
peace;
relations between nations,
ethnicities, races;
economic, social and
cultural backwardness;
exploration of the World
Ocean and space;
terrorism, etc.
Environmental, energy,
climate, raw materials,
food problems, etc.
Negative consequences of
scientific and
technological progress;
dangerous diseases;
insufficient protection of
cultural heritage diversity;
demographic crisis,
hunger, poverty, etc.

Ecological problems.
In the second half of the last century, several
environmental disasters began to develop at
once:
• The world economy is collapsing;
• More and more species of flora and fauna
are disappearing from the face of the earth;
• There is a global climate change, as the
emission of greenhouse gases into the
atmosphere increases;
• Overpopulation

5.

Solving the problem of destruction of the world ecosystem.
Global ecological problems will help solve the construction of nature reserves, national parks.
Dispersal in the space of large settlements and cities will help to preserve the biosphere. Proper
disposal of garbage will allow you to clear megacities. Natural materials should be used in the
construction of houses. Planting trees will help save oxygen.
In Russia, the punishment for illegal trade in rare plants and animals on the verge of extinction is
being tightened. Regular inspections and raids make it possible to detect violations at enterprises
and industrial facilities.

6.

Solving the problem of species extinction.
Habitat protection – is the key to protecting rare
and endangered organisms. The species can`t
survive without a habitat, so the main priority in
protection is the preservation of the natural habitat.

7.

Solving the problem of greenhouse gas emissions into
the atmosphere.
Reforestation – because forest – are natural sinks of carbon dioxide
from the atmosphere
Filters – cleaning of emissions into the atmosphere is carried out by
passing them through various filters (mechanical, electric, magnetic,
sound)
Transition to the use of new environmentally friendly energy
sources. For example, the construction of stations using tidal energy,
the use of solar installations and wind engines.

8.

Solving the problem of overpopulation.
• Restrictive policy. A striking example is China. In this country, a law has been introduced
according to witch married couples are forced to pay a fine for the birth of a second child. As a
result, demographic growth has fallen markedly: 30% in 1970s and 10% in 1990s. And in India
in the 1970s sterilization was carried out forcibly.
• Incentive policy. Reforms are being carried out in the State to reduce the impact of traditional
family values. Measures are being carried out to increase the interest of citizens (especially
young women) in getting an education and building a career, reducing the need for early
marriages, for having many children. Abortions are being legalized.

Conclusion
Modern man has had the hardest ordeal of all time: he needs to overcome the ecological crisis
caused by limited reserves of natural resources (renewable and non – renewable) to overcome
the energy crisis and at the same time such problems as the destruction of the ecosystem;
extinction of flora ad fauna species; increase in greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere;
overpopulation. But perhaps there is still a chance to correct the ecological situation in the
world, and we must take this chance to restore what we have to live in harmony with nature.
