Sun, sea and a stretch of sand are what make a perfect holiday.
Relaxing on the beach is the ultimate holiday experience for many
people but do you know where beaches come from? You usually find
beaches where the sea meets the coast. Beaches take thousands of
years to form. The sea and the wind help make beaches. As waves
crash onto rocky shore, they throw the rocks around and then into
pebbles. With time, the waves grind the pebbles into sand. There are
many different types of beaches. Each beach has its own characteristics
that make it unique. There are beaches with black or green sand, which
results from lava from volcanoes. Others have pink or white sand which
comes from corals. There are also rocky beaches, shelly beaches and
ones covered with pebbles. Finally there are beaches with beautiful
sand hills called dunes which remind us of deserts.

Punalu'u Beach
Punaluʻu Beach (also called Black Sand Beach) is a beach between
Pāhala and Nāʻālehu on the Big Island of the U.S. state of Hawaii.
The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava
flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and
cools. The swimming area is very rocky, and it can be dangerous to
swim.

известный из них - Punaluu Beach, находящийся в юговосточной части Большого острова Гавайского архипелага.

вулканов лавы, сами вулканы находятся в Национальном

Oregon, United States.Agate Beach is named for the agates that are
found on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean between Newport and
Yaquina Head.

Namibia Beaches
Home to many hundreds of miles of coastline, Namibia offers plenty of
opportunity for sunbathing on a tropical, often deserted stretch of soft
golden sand. However, Namibia is certainly far from being packed with
touristy beach resorts, sun loungers, holiday water sports and
amenities, although it is fair to say that the best beaches can be quite
special and unique.
Fronting the chilly Atlantic Ocean and often backed by the Namib
Desert, the beaches of Namibia are at their very best along the Skeleton
Coast, which can be found on the far north-western side of the country.
Named after the high concentration of seal and whale bones once
littering the beachfront during the days of whaling, the Skeleton Coast is
a vast wilderness with a seemingly endless beachfront, superb photo
opportunities and a magical coastal road (permits are required).

Pukaskwa National Park Pukaskwa is the only true wilderness park
in Canada's National Park system in Ontario. Located on the
shores of Lake Superior just below the town of Marathon and to
the east of Thunder Bay, the park is a mix of boreal forest,
Canadian Shield and Superior shores. The coast alternates from
rocky headlands to bays that open up on natural beaches. The
parks interior is rugged and wild as you might expect of a
Canadian wilderness park
