We present
It is a Treasure of Our Land
and a part of
the Cultural Heritage of Prikamye

- Flax was called "The Northern silk" in
Europe in the old days.
-Komi-Permians planted and processed
flax. Thread and cloth were made of it.
Hemp and wool were also used.
- Our textile traditions are still alive today.

- The cloth was dyed and printed.
- Pyotr Subbotin-Permyak copied
about 500 print patterns in the 1920s.
- Craftsmen still use printing in their
work today.
The traditional blue and white
printed cloth looks simple but
appealing.

lasting ancient tradition.
- Woven belts are a popular
souvenir with the guests of
Komi-Permian land.

- Komi rugs are peculiar for their colours. The rugs are
now uncommon for apartments but are an essential

diamonds, crosses, triangles and lines. They are
combined to make complex designs.
