Kathryn Thoronton was born in August 17, 1952.
She graduated from Sidney Lainer High School in Montgomery in 1970.
In 1977 Kathryn Thoronton was got a degree Master in physics.
In 1979 she was recerved a Ph.D. In physics

Thoronton was selected by Nasa in 1984, she was became an stronjuts in July 1985.
Her work was checking flight softwere in the Shuttle Avionics Integration Laboratory.
She had been took part in 4 space expedition.
STS-33 in 1989
STS-49 in 1992
STS-61 in 1993
STS-73 in 1995
Kathryn was coducted in soace over 975 hours.

Space expedition
STS-33: spacecraft had commet 79 orbits of the Earth.
STS-49: The group had to repeat International Telecommunications Satellite.
It was produced 4 spacewalks
STS-61: The task was to restore Hubble Space Telescope in standart condition.
It was produced 163 orbits of the Earth.
STS-73: The mission focused on materials
science, biotechnology, combustion science,
the physics of fluids, and numerous scientific
еxperiments.

Thornton left NASA on August 1, 1996.
She was inducted into the 2010 class of the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame
Now Thoronton is a member of the Board of directots of the Space Foundation.
