Welcome to Toadman, we are happy that you are here!
In this document we will share some things that are good to know
when joining the company such as an overview of the games, how
the company is organised and a few policies. For more detailed
information check out our Confluence when you have started.
There is no action needed from you before you start, this is just an
introduction.

TOADMAN HISTORY
The company was founded by Robin Flodin and
Rasmus Davidsson as a work for hire consultancy studio
and contributed to titles such as Killing Floor Calamity,
Escape from Dead Island, Dead Island 2, Bloodsports
TV, Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide and Stylista
We acquired Artplant
that included our Oslo
and Tver offices
We acquired Antimatter Games, Sold out
and purchased marketing agency Petrol

In 2017 we started to develop our own
games, first out was Immortal: Unchained.
We became a public company and opened
a Berlin office.
2019

We announced the formation of EG7 as the parent
company for Toadman Interactive (which was rebranded
as Toadman Studios). Artplant and Antimatter Games
remained part of Toadman while Sold out and Petrol
became part of EG7. Ola Nilsson took over as CEO for
Toadman Studios from Robin Flodin.

ONGOING GAMES IN STOCKHOLM
EvilvEvil
Vanguard
Co-development project with game company Remedy with
project name Vanguard. Co-development started during
2023.
Lost Legion
EvilvEvil is a co-op first person Vampire shooter. It is
player directed with a continuously updated storyline.
The project started in 2018.
The project is referred to as Evil, Bloodties, BT and
Osiris.
During 2023 we have started a small team working with new
game pitches. The team is called Trollhare & the game they
have chosen to start work on is a turn based game called
Lost Legion. Plan to pitch the prototype to publishers during
2024.

TOADMAN & EG7 COLLABORATION TODAY
Toadman Studios is an entity within the EG7 family, which grants us independence as developers while having access to a larger
infrastructure. Within the EG7 family are world leading marketing studio Petrol Marketing and publishers such as Innova and Sold Out.
We also have several (super cool) sibling game studios, with whom we share experience and feedback each other's products

CARING
At Toadman we care about each other and our players. Our
work environment is warm, collaborative and welcoming. We
encourage honest conversations and everyone at the
company plays an active part in the game making process.
We believe that an open feedback culture is key to bringing
better games to our players.
PASSION FOR GAMES
Passion for games is what really unites us here at Toadman,
across country boarders. We believe that game development
isn’t a straightforward production process, but an act of
creation. We encourage creativity and exploration in all of our
studios as important factors when building games.

things. We are open to learning new things and driven to
achieve our goals. All Toadman studios have their own
initiatives that support learning outside of the regular game
production.

OFFICE HOURS
Hybrid work model
We have a 40-hour workweek, which is 8 hours a day including
lunch. We value work-life balance & do not crunch.
We work on the basis of a hybrid work model where our employees
work in the office 2 days a week with the opportunity to complete
the rest of the tasks from home 3 days a week. In our current setup
all on-site employees are at the office on Monday's and Friday's.
There is also the opportunity to work entirely from the office.
We operate within normal office hours (09:00 - 17:00) but we allow
flexibility, so you can also choose to work (08:00 - 16:00) or (10:00
- 18:00) if it suits you better.
The flexibility we have is also perfect for when you need to run
errands like go to the dentist or pick up a package. You then write
that you are away in the Slack channel #Stockholm-absence so
that your fellow Toads know this. We also need to know who is in
the building the days we work at the office for emergency response
reasons (i.e. fire in the building). So keep Slack updated.
Fully remote work
We have a few Toads that are working fully remote. Please be
mindful of this when planning meetings & activities. If you are
working fully remote you can get support with equipment &
supplies. For more details on working remotely speak with your
Lead & the Studio Manager.
Just keep in mind that mandatory team meetings must be attended
if not otherwise agreed with your Producer &/or Lead.

IT SUPPORT: YOUR FIRST DAY AT WORK
Your first day
Service List
When you arrive your first day at the office, our IT department
will help you set up your computer & make sure you have the
login credentials you need to start working. Sometimes these
credentials is being sent out beforehand.

TIME OFF
Sick leave
The vacation year runs from April 1st to March 31st. At Toadman
Stockholm you are entitled to 30 vacation days a year. In accordance
with Swedish law you must take at least 20 of your vacation days per
year.
Saved Vacation
You can save (carry over) 5 vacation days per year for a maximum of 5
years. After 5 years, you must start taking out your saved vacation.
Alternatively, take out the holiday in pay. To use your saved days you
must have used your full entitlement of the current year first.
Advance Vacation
We also give the first 20 vacation days in advance so you can take
vacation during your first year as Toad. If you take an advance holiday,
a debt arises to Toadman that corresponds to the salary deduction that
would otherwise have been made if you had taken unpaid holiday. The
debt is written off after five years. If, on the other hand, you quit before
the debt is written off, you will be liable for repayment.
In Sweden when you are sick you are entitled to 80% of your pay during
sick-days for up to 14 days. At Toadman we don't want people to have
to choose between staying at home to get well & financial
compensation, therefore we pay 100% of the pay during sick-days as
well. It will still be visible on the pay slip, but no money will be
deducted. Meaning we do not have “Karensdagar” which is the Swedish
word for “Sick waiting days” which we have removed from our system.
After 14-days of sick-leave we will switch you over to the “sjukpenningsystem” (sjukskrivning/long term sick leave).
All sick leave needs to be reported in Bamboo. Please also share any
sick leave in #Stockholm-absence. You will get an introduction to
Bamboo when you start at the company. If you have any questions
about the usage of Bamboo or sick leave please contact Eva.
Other types of leave
For more information on other types of leave such as: bank holidays,
parental leave, personal leave or study leave please read more about
this at Confluence or reach out to your Lead, HR & our Office Manager
for more support

SOME FINAL INFORMATION
Where does the company name come from?
Many of the people who work at the company today used to study together in Visby at the
University of Gotland. In one of the student halls (where several of the people now working at the
company lived or hung out) there was an old painting of a Toad man.
