HOME SCREEN DESIGN
We want to provide the RSS feed on each client’s home page, to
the right of the Run Rate visual.
1. Move the Run Rate visual left to accommodate the new News
Feed section. We would like to have some space between the
Run Rate visual and the News Feed Section so that there is a
clear designation that they are different sections. The size of
the Current Run rate visual may need to be reduced slightly.
2. We would like the News Section to have the same height as the
Run Rate visual.
3. Use the same title font and color scheme for the News Section.
White title in same font as the title “Current Run Rate.” The title
of the News Section will be “Current News” and we actually
want two sections of the feed – one for Market News and one
for Competitor News.
4. Have the News Section use a white back ground so it matched
the Run Rate visual.
5. Keep the bottom navigation centered to the page for now.

NEWS FEED DESIGN/UX
For the Current News section, there will be two subsections –
Market News and Competitor News. Ideally, these would be
stacked, with Market News on top and Competitor News on bottom
and each would have their own scrolling options, meaning a user
could scroll just the two sections independently of each other.
Reach each news story in the feed, we want the date of the article,
the headline, the article description if one is provided, and the link
to the article.
Ideally, the width of the RSS section will allow all of this to fit with
minimal line wrapping. The goal would be to fit all of this within 5
lines.
No images/photos are needed for the RSS feed.

NEWS FEED FUNCTIONALITY
We need to be able to do the following:
1. Host an RSS feed unique to each client – example, the websites
2. Post headlines and links from a number of websites (possibly up to 25 websites per client) into a single feed.
3. Automate the selection of content by key words in headlines and tags. There may be 50-75 key words to include as selection criteria. We also need the ability
to easily update or change these words/criteria.
4. In addition to the automated content selection, it would be good to have the ability for a user to manually select to include or exclude content as well, for each
client.
5. Ability for a user to flag/highlight an important strory and have that story show up in the feed as important (e.g. highlighted a specific color)
6. Ability to set a date where content older than a certain range will not be selected for the feed.
7. Ability to set a date where the content in the feed will be removed from the feed after a certain date/date range. Example – once a story is 2 weeks old.
8. A user clicking on the links in the feed will bring up the article in a new browser.
